Great another wishy washy job title, funded by the state. You're too fat go and see the lifestyle guru, you smoke go and see the lifestyle guru.

What a waste of tax payers money, and how patronising! :x

It is possibly one of those silly situations where it is actually cheaper to pay the lifestyle guru for a few sessions than it is to pay for the heart operation in the long run. Or at least that is what I would like to think.

The cynical side of me reckons that they have cobbled together another idea just for the media, without costing it or doing any proper research.

We already have lifestyle gurus, they go by the old fashioned name of doctor.

But the important difference is that Doctors have a code of conduct, have made ethical vows and can exercise a degree of freedom from political subjugation.

Lifestyle gurus would probably be local authority / social services employees.

I could be a lifestyle guru. Do you think "Hey, fat git - keep running" would work? - or would john 'two jags' get annoyed at me?
