Citing Wikipedia is pathetic. Who knows who wrote that tripe. You will find that real historians on Wikipedia get banned because it is contolled by The Left and they don't want any changes to to their view of history.

The countless archives now being released, not least the Soviet archives, show that British armaments production always exceeded the Germans before the war. The Germans commenced re-arming from a point of zero. Their armed forces had been shut down in 1919 by Versailles. We were simply firming up. It is sad that so many people still accept this appeasement rubbish put about by the liberal-left since the war. I would say that after looking at the French, Polish, German, Soviet and British archives people's views on how and why the war broke out would drastically change. They would realise that the garbage we have been fed since 1939 is just that.
