I haven't heard much good news for ages but that soon changed once I read the below article from the 'John Bean's Nationalist Notebook' section of this month's
Identity magazine:
Over in Essex there is a BNP activist who is even older than your editor and has stood as a BNP candidate in several local elections. He is Sid Chaney, who has launched many legal cases against some of the activities of the left, and the Searchlight organization in particular. Some he has lost, others he has won.
He has just informed me of a notable victory whereby as a result of continual badgering of the Association of London Government (now renamed as London Councils) it no longer provides any grant funding to Searchlight. In a letter to Mr Chaney from Christiane Jenkins, Director of Corporate Governance at the association she writes:
"I can confirm that the Association (renamed London Councils in 2006) no longer provides any grant funding to Searchlight. The allegations that you make are of such a serious nature that I recommend that you take this matter up with the police."
And no doubt Sid will!
The monthly grants that Searchlight received, via the London Boroughs Grants Unit, amounted to £21,262, i.e over a quarter of a million per annum! The monthly breakdown was:
Salaries - £11,403; Printing postage and stationary - £2680; Telephone - £2,500; Hire of equipment - £1500; Travelling expenses - £2000; Insurance - £679; Freelance and research costs - £500.
We cannot yet confirm the rumour that Gerry Gable and wife Sonya are to be pensioned off. But we can confirm that London council taxpayers owe a great vote of thanks to Sid Chaney.
Indeed a VERY big thank you to Sid Chaney, and also a big thank you to John Bean for bringing this news to our attention, and brightening up my week!

Good. I love it that the world around you annoys you so much.
You bring a smile to my face though!
Nothing funnier than a cross old bigot out of touch and out of place with the modern world

That means UKIP will have to donate even more to Searchlight to make up for this!

Strange this one old guy has had such success in getting the law enforced to prevent electoral abuses by the opposition and yet the leadership have not.
Similarly they have made no effort to prevent systematic illegal persecution of members and yet have taken members to court at massive expense.

In the 'modern world' I suppose no-one is entitled to complain when council taxes are undemocractically paid to an association of bigots like
Searchlight.
Don't fancy your 'modern world' much, Kid.

As pointed out in the UKIP thread, Nigel Farage has admitted that UKIPs purpose is just to split the genuine anti-EU/B.N.P vote

While we're on the topic of people who have shady pasts, you may be interested that Gable isn't the only ex-communist mentioned in this thread. According to Wikipedia, the BNP's John Bean was also a Communist as a schoolboy. Later, after the war, he was a follower of Oswald Mosley and a member of Mosley's Union Movement, campaigning for "Europe a Nation". He probably puts boot polish in with his wash to keep his shirts looking extra-black.
