Looking at who started the most complaint threads from the latest 80 complaints the League is as follows.

1. Bonnie Dundee,11 complaints from 80=13.75% of total.

2. The Bear,9 complaints from 80=11.25% of total.

3. BlueBlood1920,8 complaints from 80=10.0% of total.

4. Clippo,6 complaints from 80=7.5% of total.

5. ukipHM,6 complaints from 80=7.5% of total.

The League shows that only 5 posters were responsible for 50% of the 80 most recent complaints on here.

Many complaints were seen as so trivial and slight that Mods and posters alike could not even identify them.

A sad bunch IMHO,sad.

Wingers? I opened the thread thinking we were discussing rugby or soccer, but then I realised Hartlepool (the place) isn't famous for either.

As a mod I must admit to finding some of the complaints a little trite and in some ways very sad. I don't like extreme bad language and gratuitous insults, but that is the cut and thrust of politics. It is the persistent and unwarranted attacks on people just because they hold alternate views that get to me, but if people feel frustrated when others will not listen to well presented arguments or accept demonstrable facts then occasionally they will go OTT.

I heard someone quote a nice little aphorism, 'Every individual is entitled to a different opinion, but they're not entitled to different facts.' or words to that effect. That is to say that a fact is a fact is a fact, but opinions are personal.

The point of my complaints was to try and stop disruption and keep the board civil because if widespread disruption ensues then it is hard to have any serious debate. But no one seems to cre much about that. I give up then, let it go to hell.
