I am happy to accept that baiting forum members is perfectly appropriate practice by all the moderators if that has been decided by them. If so when was this decision made and how was the fact of it advised to forum members who are not moderators. Thanks.

Fair cop-ish. Bob FM started on me and others and I made a decision to puncture his pomposity. Bob is a big boy and is happy to attack others on this forum, even when he knows they are banned and can't reply. It is a political forum. I haven't lied about Bob. I haven't said anything that isn't true in our spats. Where I voice opinion it is very clear that I do so. Bob responds clumsily and misses my points; that does make it easier for me to pot him. I was actually being tongue in cheek when I said baiting him was good sport; to be honest it is too easy and requires a lot less intelligence than debating with the long departed Paul Birch for instance.

All the mods joined the forum to engage in political debate, both serious and lighthearted. By being a mod I should not be excluded from a right to respond to points. If I have knowledge I like to impart it; I like to be educated and informed by others on the forum. I don't mind cheap shots at me, but I reserve the right to make even cheaper shots at those people who mix it with me.

I do not moderate people for debating against me as that would be unfair. There are a couple of posters I intensely dislike, but I will not be the one who bans them as I know them personally It's harder being a mod in that respect. I can't complain and I have to be fair to people who I dislike.

I did it when I looked in the mirror this morning. :-)

I'm giving Bob FM a week off my answers to his posts, no matter how absurd. I was 'phoned the other day about the same issue and accused of pulling wings off flies. I have been asked by others, electronically and in person, to leave Bob alone as it lowers me to indulge in such pettiness.
