The important thing is to let the nation know before an election what the view of the Conservative Party on this matter is so that the message gets around to all voters.

There's not that much time in a three-week General Election campaign when the pro-EU media (i.e. the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation - BBC) may try to suppress the EU/sovereignty issue (just as they have done in the last TEN General Elections).

The Tories probably won't attempt to raise the EU/sovereignty issue because it will panic people about the future, they start to worry and decide to keep things as they are by voting for the Labour party. This is what I believe the conservatives are trying to avoid, instead they will probably focus on issues such as the enviroment and family in order to get themselves the votes they need.

And even if they do make the EU/sovereignty a focal point of their campaign, then like you said three weeks isn't enough to make their point when the media is biased against them.
