Europhile Heseltine - who thankfully failed in his attempt to become Conservative leader in 1990 - has allegedly had the cheek to criticise Gordon Brown for being a "Tory pretender" - but Heathite Heseltine is not even a real Tory himself:

Mrs Thatcher quite rightly, although at the time was crticised for it pointed to Mr Heseltines interventionlist tendenctys as regards industrial policy which were more in line with Labour's during the Tory Leadership election in 1990.

Let us not forget that Heseltine shared a plaform with Blair to promote britians entry into the Euro

As did europhile 'Conservative' Kenneth Clarke MP. These people would go out of their way to avoid sharing a platform with eurosceptics or anti-EU Conservatives but are quite happy to be seen with pro-EU 'New' Labour people like Blair.
