Restore our British sovereignty, which has been consistently reduced by successive Conservative and Labour governments as they sign up to an increasing number of European treaties and policies. Increasing interference to the British way of life has been imposed on us during the current Labour administration. Labour is determined to destroy our country, its culture and heritage.
Take control of our national borders and impose our own immigration rules.
Repatriate the many thousands of illegal immigrants who represent a significant risk to our national security and who create a drain on our already over-burdened resources. But yet, this Labour government displays little interest or ability in managing this crisis.
Save 50 million pounds per day currently paid into EU coffers, which can be better spent to benefit our country and protect its people.
Rebuild our national fishing industry, which has been reduced to almost extinction, with the introduction of a strong fisheries protection fleet to protect our fish stocks. We also need to assist UK Customs & Excise in their fight against the elicit smuggling of drugs.
Restore our national agriculture and protect the custodians of our precious countryside.
Develop British democracy by encouraging the electorate to vote on contentious issues through referendums. Government by the people for the people!
Reduce the oppressive regulation imposed on British businesses and exempt small businesses with less than 25 employees from the present damaging regulations imposed on them.
Eradicate political correctness and replace with free speech and common sense.
Introduce a zero tolerance approach to assist in fighting crime, with effective practical deterrents.
Scrap unelected regional assemblies such as SEERA & SEEDA and work towards the amalgamation of county and district councils. This would provide unitary authorities to replace the complicated and costly local government structures that we have today.
Ban live animal exports and Halal slaughter, and improve animal welfare conditions in food production.

I don't remember any one saying UKIP would ban Halal Slaughter! If it is a fact then I'd be very pleased! Don't forget you can't just ban Halal slaughter without banning Kosher slaughter, for the poor animal they're the same thing, different Religion!

There are many reasons why voters from many partys should vote UKIP but for it to happen UKIP has to be a viable political force.

In reply to the title of this thread "Why Tory voters should join and vote UKIP" - many Conservative voters already do vote UKIP: in EU and local elections.
At the last EU Election of the 2.7 million votes won by UKIP - 1.2 million of them were from people who vote Conservative at General Elections.
There are also five million people who voted Conservative at the 1992 General Election (won by Major) who are (out of disgust at Major's pro-EU and leftist policies) now not voting Conservative (or for anyone).
The view is that it is possible for UKIP to persuade at least some of those former Conservative voters to start backing UKIP.
There are also four million Labour supporters who no longer vote - and some of those might be pleased to hear from UKIP.

Sixteen years on.
I wonder how many of these people are now dead.
Is there an actuary in the House?

Has UKIP actually got a proper manifesto. For a public to except a party it needs a definite direction.
