Cruddas seat hasn't always been safe Labour. In the 1983 and 1997 (particularly) general elections it was a marginal that the Tory Party nearly gained. Indeed, in the latter election they came within 2,500 votes of taking it. There is only one reason why that nearly happened and that is because many of the local white working-class Labour voters switched en masse to Mrs Thatcher's CONServative Party as they saw the Labour Party of that era concerning itself with minority issues all the time instead of appealing to their interests. Needless to say, since John Major threw-away the white working-class support Mrs Thatcher had built-up ('working-class Tories') and the Tory Party became very weak in Dagenham these 'working-class Tories' have switched their suppport to the BNP.

Proof?
It will never, however, put itself across as non-racist. Because that is what it inherently is.
It doesn't matter to many people because they are fundamentally against the BNP's racism and proposed anti-liberty policies. And it is a low turnout at the Euros. Prove that "many BNP votres normally abstain if a BNP candidate isn't standing".
Some of the BNP's opponents have asserted that the BNP does best NOT in the 'sink estates' where they normally stick with Labour or increasingly don't vote but in the 'upper working-class/'lower middle-class' areas ie the areas which still have people who are employed but who aren't fairly well-off like the proper middle-class areas are.
What 'anti-liberty' policies does the BNP have? I can't see any on the party's website.
Again, many of the party's opponents have said that the BNP does tend to get a better vote if the turnout isn't too bad. There is a range between a very low one (bad for the BNP) to a very high one (also bad for the party) where the BNP vote is maximised. The major parties (particularly Labour and Tory) have legions of unthinking loyalists who vote for them no matter what their mistakes or policies are and thereby these parties do better on low turnouts.
Unlike UKIP, the BNP doesn't care what the loony-left PC media says about the party. Your squeeky-clean and 'approved' image hasn't done UKIP much good, has it?

Try to read my post again, without your preconcieved ideas on what it contains this time.
I agree they do mean next to nothing and we all know the EU's 'parliament' is a sham of democracy intented to fool people that the EU is a democracy when it patently isn't but if the BNP were to get even one MEP next year the party would grow tremendously which is why the Establishment fear this outcome a great deal and know that unlike with UKIP the party would make full use of this electoral breakthrough.

Hope the bnp would then be more voiciferous in the EU Parliament than they are in the GLA because to date they have done nothing in London that the general public are aware of have they?

The BNP don't want a few MEP's to be a part of the European Parliament, they want them to "build credibility". Part of the "great accumulation bet" by which councilors = GLA = MEP = MP. Problem is there is no plan from there and almost no chance of making the last jump as demonstrated by UKIP.
Still the 1 - 3 BNP MEP's will no doubt have something to console themselves with. Whose in poll position again? Obviously having made his calculation of the probability of the BNP breaking into the HoC.

UKIP has one MP who happens to be a DEFECTOR from the Tory Party and whose seat will probably go back to the Tories seeing as it used to be one of the safest Tory seats in the country (I live in Essex by the way and not far away from the area) despite the fact that it isn't particularly a rich area. In the past, Castle Point used to be 'True Blue' because it had one of the highest owner-occupation rates in Britain.
If UKIP manage to retain it I will be amazed.

Indeed, one of the main purposes of the BNP standing for the EU 'parliament' is to hopefully gain seats so as to increase the electoral credibility of the party. Make no mistake though, should a BNP candidate gain election he/she would join with the other 'Right-wing' groups in the 'parliament' to do all he/she could to undermine the 'parliament' and the institution of the EU from within.
It may seem odd that such a virurently anti-EU party would stand for election to an EU body but as the election is proportional then small parties need to take the opportunity.

I.e. get in bed with the hardline European neo-Nazis. I hope that will help to severely damage the BNP's electoral credibility should they ever get an MEP elected.

They aren't 'neo-Nazis' for the most part although you may find some who fit that description. I am not too well acquainted with who is who in that 'parliament' at the moment. Most of them are just nationalists who despise the EU and who wish to restore their country's self-governance out of the clutches of the EU.

No! As soon as any BNP MEPs get to Brussels they will be the model of respectability when they take over from UKIP. They will of course continue to attend few debates, spend most of their time in wine bars, fine restaurants and be busy making expense claims. One or two will drop out because they wish to spend more time at their Spanish villa, form new parties and disappear, employ Polish builders at cheap rates putting British craftsmen out of work and maybe the odd one will crow about how he's milking the system to an undercover journalist.
But they will be respectable I assure you.
:-)
