UKIP are not spent. They are merely managing themselves wrongly. Non-racist anti-EU mild libertarianism isn't that rare IMHO and if UKIP actually stopped publicly bickering and got on with spreading their message and dispelling myths that they are hardline right-wingers with a one-issue agenda they really could do well.

They are in Westminster 1 and 2, Brussels and in local government. They have the potential to be widely supported but appear to be badly managed and in need of a slap in the face to get back to reality. They are not at all "spent", and should never merge with racist, draconian nationalists with very different aims. Good luck to UKIP and shame on the wicked and vicious BNP and the mergerites bent on stealing the principled and tolerant anti-EU crowd.
