Really? Then what is this about forcing farmers to pay something like £2 for a sheep tracking system when the current (and successful) device costs around 14p? Do the math, that is a lot of extra un-neccesary cost from some unsympathetic beaureucrats who have no idea the pressures farmers are under as it is.
Then we have the proposals for plug socket harmonisation. Sure, they are talking about sending a few free sockets per household, but how many houses have you been in which have only 3 plug sockets? Not to mention the cost to get the devices to work properly and safely in the sockets.
You mention immigration - I'd rather immigration checks be slower and stricter because I find the current policy a complete joke and we are now seeing the consequences. I predict racial tensions to escalate year upon year if nothing is done, and thanks to Labour's new "positive discrimination" I can see more racism directed at British natives in favour of ethnic minorities? (Will they be called minorities for much longer?)

I've never heard of that scheme, where's your proof (Directive would be great). Believe it or not, the EU doesn't intentionally set out to undermine the economies of its nation states (where's the sense in that?).
I'll throw in a few pieces of legislation here: The Enterprise Act 2002 (specifically Part 8), The Consumer Protection Act 1987, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, NAWI 2000 etc.
Got anything against consumer protection? The EU has done far more for consumer protection than the British government.

I've seen no such proposals. I bet you can't name the supposed Directive either.

Oh dear, another person who doesn't understand the difference between race and nationality. Racial tensions have nothing to do with the EU.
I see nothing wrong with the current policy. The border controls are already very strict. The problem of illegal immigration comes when people
fail to leave rather than sneaking through the border.
Besides, I thought UKIP weren't racist.
