Free England Party>The Movie '1066' - England's Braveheart?
Andrew Constantine 01:18 PM 28-07-2008
It looks like even Hollywood is taking advantage of the massive increase in interest in England and her Anglo-Saxon origins as work is proceeding on the movie '1066'.

You would hope that in view of the brave efforts of the English in 1066 to defend England against such a brutal invader as William, and the appalling consequences for England of the defeat at Hastings, that even Hollywood will for once not treat us as the villian!

It is looking encouraging as it is Robin Jacob who is behind this film and he comes from a very distinguished military family.

England might even have her very own Braveheart...

This has nothing to do with the everyday matters and concerns that really matter to the good people of England. They dont wake up in the morning with this on there minds Or your fantasy policy of English Independence.GET REAL

Should be a good movie.
It could well as you say have the Braveheart effect where by the film sparks an interest amongst people in their countries politics.
I'm sure the SNP did well of the back of Braveheart.

Yet more meaningless drivel from a FEP supporter.Thats says or does nothing to address the everyday concerns that REALLY matter to the good hard working people and there families of England.

Danny> Since the topic is about the movie that is what I am discussing, not the barnett forumla, not the Union and not the EU.
As I also pointed out, the SNP did well off the back of Braveheart. Movies like this sometimes have a habit of igniting interest in a topic.
We will have to wait and see.

It looks interesting but have you been to the cinema recently? I doubt it would be a good movie.

It will almost certainly be rubbish - history twisted like "Braveheart" and the warped "Patriot". Unforunately the English film industry is run by talentless, PC propagandists.

Braveheart wasn't a bad movie. And for Holywood it wasn't that historically inaccurate. It is just most modern movies seem to suck.

I've been to a fair number of movies recently. I just saw the X-files movie which I believe comes out back home soon as well. Was a good movie, but I have to say it still isn't as good as the first 2 or 3 seasons of the TV series :-).
