Free England Party>What putting someone on the ignore list does!
Andrew Constantine 11:34 AM 02-08-2008
I had not realised the cleverness of this feature, thinking that it was just a means of showing public disapproval of a particular member of this forum.

In fact, it results in you not even seeing the posts off those you have put on your ignore list.

Bliss....

And you know what - they then stop posting!

Yes, very clever, shut off even more of a very closed mind! It's means of dishing it out without having to take it, but that pre-supposes who the poster's intended audience is? Of course, if you're bested in debate, it's a way of shielding yourself, but do you prevent all other viewers from seeing the 'ignored' poster? No, otherwise it becomes a means of censorship!

Carry on, but do consider the whole picture before you take such a step - if you and the FEP are up to it! So much for the open-minded FEP! You've offered another hostage to fortune!

I find the prospect very interesting . . . .

Frankly, I think it's more akin to shooting yerself [again] in the head! :-)

Yet another daft, prissy head boy ploy! :-)

Do they? It seems more akin to reducing the posts of those busy doing the ignoring whilst leaving the field clear!

Let us see? Now there's a challenge! :-) :-)

Cassie - it's got to do nothing with stifling debate. The person I put on my ignore list kept making unfounded allegations about people in the party. I don't see how you can have a proper political debate with someone who wants to see the destruction of your party.

So you are unable to ignor them if you don't put them on the ignore list, seems like it might be a tool for those who can't control themselves or resist posting a reply back to the thread. *roll eyes*

My point exactly! :-) :-)

It's even better than that for the 'ignored'! :-) :-)
