In relation to the thread topic for debate and HM s post and northumbrians post above wheres he says(Pleased) HM great post because you have hit the nail on the head because its the only way English Independence will ever be acheived because FEP are incapable and could never deleiver it and know that there is no desire or hunger of the people of England for it.Great post HM.

Danny can't possibly know what the people of England desire. We have never been offered it and the establishmet, BBC et al would never promote it.
I understand that a poll in 2006 or 7 showed a 60% vote in England for the end of the Union. Does any one have a link?

Danny where is your proof for such a statement please?

I would prefer it if England left the Union first but would not be that upset if the colonial fringe jumped ship first. My only concern is that if the UK has a scottish elected PM at the time England would again get the raw deal.

I asked you for proof, is this what you call proof for your earlier statment?

So if the Welsh, Irish and scots wanted independence would you force them to remain in the Union so as to prevent English independence.
Answer the questions please Danny! I answer yours.

The Snp At Aviemore Sunday Mail Reveals Shock Opinion Poll

A RECORD number of English voters want independence from Scotland and a break-up of the UK, a Sunday Mail poll reveals today.

One in three English voters believes it is time for England to split from Scotland - more than the level of support north of the Border for independence.

The results were revealed as Tory ex-minister Malcolm Rifkind announced a blueprint for constitutional change that would mean only English MPs voting on English issues.

In our Progressive Partnership poll south of the border, 33 per cent said they supported England being independent of Scotland.

That compares to 31 per cent of Scots in favour of independence in a poll by the same company.

Fifty-five per cent were in favour of keeping the Union and 12 per cent did not know.

The results show an English swing away from the Union - 18 months ago, a similar poll showed 60 per cent wanted to keep the Union.

The latest figures are being seen as a reflection of growing anger among English voters that Scots are benefiting from devolution - at their expense. Scotland has free personal care for the elderly, free school meals and no university tuition fees - benefits not available in England.

There is also resentment in England that Scots MPs can vote on English issues.

Average public spending in Scotland is £1500 more per head of the population than in the south.

The poll reflects discontent down south - 21 per cent said they would be better off without Scotland.

I think that 33% wanting independence puts it on the radar. Don't you?
That is what I call proof

It is one opinion poll more than you have put up.
YOUR opinion is not fact.

In 2006 60% were in favour of Keeping the union.
In 2007 55% were in favour of keeping the union.

"That figure you quoted would disappear"..... YOUR opinion. Where is YOUR proof.

"You and FEP on newsnight debating with Paxman paxman would make mince meat and kill off in a debate any off you cry babies". .......

Thank you for your high opinion of me but I doubt I will ever be invited onto Newsnight.
I must say that what I do find sad is the fact that you seem to want to kill off the debate. What are you afraid of? Democracy?

P.S. When did Mr Paxman tell you he was against an independent England?
