Draft annoucement on the appointment of the party's President Chris Nickerson
I show below the draft annoucement of an important development. If you can improve my wording, or have any questions, please either post the point on the thread or send me an email.
We intend to issue the final version (if it changes) on Monday 8 September on various political forums. AJC
Announcement about Chris Nickerson
At the Free England Party’s NEC meeting held on 6 September 2008 in Peterborough, the NEC voted to change the party's constitution so as to provide for a non-executive President to be appointed.
All the NEC then present agreed that this new position should be offered to Chris Nickerson, the founder and Party leader of the English Independence Party.
The NEC decided to offer this unique recognition to Chris in recognition of his status and his work over many years as one of the founders of modern English nationalism.
In asking Chris to accept this award, Andrew Constantine said that the Free England Party would be grateful and honoured if Chris would accept this position as it showed the appreciation we feel for the services he has given to English nationalism over many years. Chris of course is the founder of the modern campaign for English independence.
In his reply, Chris Nickerson said that he was honoured to accept this invitation to be the non-executive President of the FEP.
Chris continued by saying the following:
“I believe that there is a single nationalist movement in England, which in its maturity will one day not be divided into different parties and groups (as was the case with the development of the Labour Party).
I think the FEP is the English nationalist party which will take the lead in English nationalism in the next five years or so.
As non-executive President of the FEP I will feel committed to making whatever contribution I can to it success.”
Andrew Constantine noted that while Chris will continue to keep the English Independence Party in being, it will focus more on campaigning rather than electoral politics. A full merger would not be happen for the time being as there are some key differences between the policy platforms of the Free England party and the English Independence Party (especially the latter’s very robust views on how to undo some of the damage of uncontrolled immigration). But both parties will campaign jointly on the key shared issue of English independence.
In summary, Andrew Constantine thought that this strategic understanding between the only reputable English independence parties might turn out to be a very important development in English politics. He added that “the Free England Party is developing quickly, and looks forward to members of both of our parties campaigning and standing in elections under the shared cause of a sovereign English Parliament, immediate withdrawal from the EU, an end to uncontrolled immigration, and English independence.”

POPULATION CONTROL
4.1 Our philosophy
We believe that in an increasingly mobile world, one of the most important responsibilities of an English government is POPULATION CONTROL. We need to control the number of people living in England in relation to our population density, urban:rural balance, the impact of road building on cities and countryside, etc. We also need to control who lives in England in relation to the need to maximize social cohesion and a sense of community, and in order to preserve our English identity as a people of Scandinavian origin. We deplore those irresponsible political parties which have operated an open-door policy since the Second World War. Immigration is an emotive issue but it must be faced. WHAT IS IMMIGRATION? It is when individuals or families uproot themselves from their home country and culture on the assumption that the economic benefit of living in another country will be greater than the loss of their roots. For the receiving nation it means the accommodation of people from an alien identity and culture, most of whom initially make severe economic demands, some of whom become permanent financial drains. It also means in the longer term an expanding number of citizens in a host country who are only partially committed to the country in which they live. At a local level it means indigenous people, usually in relatively poor urban areas, experiencing an influx of foreigners transforming their locality so that it can hardly any more be described as being part of their own country. It was a MISTAKE to allow post-WW2 mass immigration from the British Empire, and we are now suffering the consequences.
4.2 Reduced population of England
We will bring about a reduction in the population of England from 50 million to less than 45 million people. This will reduce all our problems of congestion, including pressure for more new housing in our precious countryside.
4.3Immigration,
We will allow NO MORE IMMIGRATION into England. We will enforce this by increasing the resources of the Customs and Immigration Service, using available military personnel when convenient.
4.4 Repatriation
Over time we will encourage post-WW2 non-European mass immigrants to return to their countries of origin, culture and extended families.
4.5European migration and anti-Semitism
European migration needs to be considered in relation to our policy on EUROPE GENERALLY, AND THE EU IN PARTICULAR. European migrants will tend to return to their country when its economy and welfare system is comparable to our own. At times we might welcome temporary migration from Europe, such as the proposal to recruit surplus Spanish doctors due to our failure to train enough of our own. We are opposed to anti-Semitism. During the 20th Century Jews migrated from Europe to England at a time when they had NO HOMELAND OF THEIR OWN. It is also appropriate to note the exceptional contribution to British society of cultured Jews from developed European countries. Pre-WW2 Jewish immigration is not to be confused with the unnecessary and undesirable mass immigration from the British Empire.
4.6 Political asylum
The present asylum system means continued immigration into England every time there is a political crisis somewhere in the world. Asylum seekers should be required to take refuge in neighbouring slates so that they can easily return home. We will accept only EXCEPTIONAL CASES of asylum seekers on a short-term basis, and only subject to the direct personal initiative of the English Home Secretary. If a country is so misgoverned as to cause an exodus of asylum seekers, we consider ourselves justified in putting pressure on that country, diplomatic or military, until stable government is achieved.
4.7 Racial discrimination and victimization
The responsibility for RACIAL DISCRIMINATION as a response to mass immigration lies with those British politicians who allowed excessive immigration into England in the past. We will remove racial discrimination as a separate area of law on the grounds of the Englishman's historic right of freedom of thought and speech. We will oppose all forms of VICTIMISATION, including those on grounds of religion or race. This includes the victimization of English people. If anyone deserves to be prosecuted about unwanted immigration it is the British politicians responsible.
