Apparently some Labour MP's are concerned about the effect which the government's Equality Bill will have on the white British working class.
My message to these MP's is - don't worry about it. The white - and ethnic minority - British working class is
accustomed to being assaulted by the Labour party.
They just
love being taxed to hell, being penalised for running old family cars, being forced outside into the cold if they want to smoke a cig. with their pint in the pub - if they can find a pub that hasn't been forced to close down, etc.
Oh and by the way, although I'm not a member of the British National Party (BNP) or any other political party, could I just say a big thank-you to the Labour party on behalf of the BNP?
You've done
so much - more than any other political party - to encourage white working class people to join it.
Will the Equality Bill be divisive? Divisive in the sense that it will create a chasm, resentment, between white, black and Asian working class people? Nah. Don't worry about it.
They'll get used to it.

Funny how different people see things in different ways.
As I see it Thatcher saved the “working class” from the unions, and from themselves.

I do agree, but as is so often the case the "pendulum" had swung far too far and for a variety of reasons.
As with all things what’s really needed is to strike the right balance.

Personally I'm an economic decentralist and distributisi. I dislike big business almost as much as big gov't.
But aside from that Thatcher certainly tipped the balance far in the direction of big business.

The idea that the interest of the white male working class is a zero sum game against female and minority working class is a centuries old joke.
It does not take a great mind to sniff out what interest group created this kind of myth.
