"balls up" is not in the language of the US military. There are security clearances, protocols, backup plans, control hierachies - they couldn't (for example) put a man on the moon if they weren't extremely intelligent people and had their technological advances planned to the finest and most minute detail.
You can't say someone cocked up because it would not depend on the failure of just one person - it would have to be a multitude of serious errors.
The words Dr. and Strangelove leap to mind.....

Sure it's a fair point though I have to beg to differ slightly....
I'd say occasionally, but often they do need smaller "real life" stories to highlight why the MSM agenda/propaganda is wrong, but like you say of course, this is indeed their agenda they want to promote.
So they report news, but are also a politcal awareness website.
To say 'a lot' to me sounds like they're fitting a false agenda of spin on the scale of the mainstream media - not sure if that's completely fair to them.
Not that I'm saying you're saying that of course.....
Not sure if I can say "false agenda of spin" doesn't apply to the the MSM however !
But yes they do blow up small stories sometimes(maybe without even consciously knowing it ? Ok maybe they do...), but I still believe 98% of them are accurate and trustworthy.
And again, I'd say that any error from alternative media is latched upon 10 times worse - if they're not squeaky clean - they get derided out of hand by conspiracy theory haters.
