Brief edited extract from the Sunday Telegraph article on the link in the first posting to this thread:
"Now critics are quietly voicing the fear that Mr. Obama and his campaign have deliberately adopted the tone and tactics of an evangelical preacher, whipping up “Obamamania” at the expense of more serious discussion of policy and government."
According to the Sunday Telegraph, one person allegedly said that there is “something just a wee bit creepy about the mass messianism.”

There is something New Labourish about Obama.

Nothing new here - it's just a big bunch of lefties getting hysterical. As usual.

There is no doubt that Mr. Barack Obama appears to be left wing.
He is also (allegedly) pro-abortion (he is certainly not against it), as is his Democrat Party. This is going to cost him/them votes - the fact that more Roman Catholics (anti-abortion) voted Republican than ever before (in the last American Presidential Election) and the fact that Evangelical voters (anti-abortion) stuck with George W. Bush last time helped keep the Democrats out of The White House.

All the talk is of a divided Democrat Party whoever becomes their candidate for the President of the USA. I even heard on the radio the other day the suggestion that Gore might 'step in' if there is stalemate and be the Democrat Presidential "compromise candidate" again if his party cannot decide on which of the other two to pick (i.e. Billary Clinton and Mr. Barack Obama).
It is also allegedly being said that some Democrats backing Mr. Obama will not vote for Billary if she becomes their party's candidate for The White House - and vice versa.
The Republican campaign (to find their candidate for the next USA Presidential elections) seems to be going well - no divisions of the kind that the Democrats appear to be experiencing.

Britannist, I notice you mention Al Gore could step in.
I'm interested to know where you heard that because I've heard that too, but can't remember where.
Can you point me to any radio show/newpaper article ?
Thanks.

Thank you for your question, YCHTT.
I think that I could have heard the claim made that Gore might enter the contest to be this year's Democrat candidate for the USA Presidency (as a "compromise candidate" in the event that Billary Clinton and Barack Obama get exactly the same number of delegate votes at the Democrat Party National Convention - i.e. "stalemate") on George Galloway's Talksport radio 'phone-in two or three weeks ago. I believe that the comment may have been made by an American politician being interviewed by George Galloway MP over the telephone on his programme.

Obama is illuminati aristocracy. his appearence from 'nowhere', and subsequent rocket to the front of the political line are no coincidence. Believe it or not, Barack Obama is related to both President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney as you can check here:
The Raw Story | Obama a distant cousin to Cheney, Bush
Vice President Dick Cheney and aspiring Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama may not share a political philosophy, but they do share a family tree.
The vice president's wife, Lynne, said during an interview with MSNBC on Tuesday that her husband and Obama were eighth cousins, a fact she discovered while researching family ancestry for her new memoir.
“This is such an amazing American story that one ancestor ... could be responsible down the family lines for lives that have taken such different and varied paths as Dick’s and Barack Obama,” she said.
Ginny Justice, a spokeswoman for Mrs. Cheney, told MSNBC that Obama is a descendant of French Huguenot Mareen Duvall, whose son wed the granddaughter of the Englishman Richard Cheney in the 1600's.
Fox News on Wednesday also cited a report last month in the Chicago Sun-Times, which indicated Obama also had a distant genealogical connection to President Bush. The two are 11th cousins, according to the paper.
