Maybe it is a BBC freebie, but it's more about America's role in setting a globalized "one world government" policy.
That's why BBC focuses on America's role so much - they're the (bad) role model we follow on such policy.

I'll bet Superwoman Sarah Palin can clean the dishes wash her Eskimo hubby's smalls , address a Nuremburg-style rally of all of her 9000 Alaskan 'folk-comrades', sneeze and fart louder than any man all at the same time.
Why is it that the far right in the UK are busy bigging up this empty-headed bigoted baggage? So what that she won Miss Alaska 1959? Did she sleep her way to the prize? Was Hughie Green involved?
Amerika needs Obama - but so does the World!
The biggest prize at stake in this election is World Peace! :-)

I dunno, maybe they are enjoying the sanctimonious smile being wiped off the face of the elites of Europe? Maybe after twelve months of watching a plastic faced Blair clone being uncritically lauded for no better reason than the colour of his skin they are not displeased to see someone actually test Obama?
I for one am deriving immense satisfaction from watching the British elite realize that PROGRESS (TM) isn't quite the one way street they imagined and that vacuous comments about CHANGE (TM) delivered from an ethnic minority candidate does not enthuse everyone.
Moreover perhaps having realized that the so called messiah of CHANGE (TM) is in fact no more than a Party hack who has the most perfect partisan voting record of any member of the senate perhaps McCain does not look quite so bad? Incidentally apparently Obama has only once broken ranks, to be the sole objector to a bill requiring medical assistance for babies which survive abortions. Nice guy.

As America is a Black Supremacist state anyone with Black Culture promoted in everyway to the tune of billions and millions or jobs and college places reserved just for Blacks it's only fitting that it has a Black President.
Other wise it's a bit like Nelson Mandela running the Third Reich.

By Nov. 5th we'll be as divided as a nation can be. I envy the Brits in that their whole election process takes but a few weeks and (to my knowledge) they don't have to suffer pre-recorded phone solicitations from the candidates and/or celebritards.

We do. The Liberals got in trouble calling a couple of weeks ago by calling 250,000 people under the pretence of doing policy research. They were told off by the telecoms watchdog.
