Greater Romania Party was on the list - brain not working at 100% AT 2.30AM

Anyway, Sinn Fein may be left wing but, according to wiki, "The term nationalism can refer to an ideology, a sentiment, a form of culture, or a social movement that focuses on the nation...As an ideology, nationalism holds that 'the people' in the doctrine of popular sovereignty is the nation, and that as a result only nation-states founded on the principle of national self-determination are legitimate. Since most states are multinational, or at least home to more than one group claiming national status,[3] the pursuit of this principle has often led to conflict, and nationalism is commonly associated with war (both external and domestic), secession, and even genocide in contexts ranging from imperial conquest to struggles for national liberation." If that is true, why is Sinn Fein not a Nationalist party? They don't all have to be some uber-right wing Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging clone.

Left wing, yes. But they are nationalist - unless you are trying to say that Scotland and Wales are regions and not nations (same goes for the FEP if you were referring to them also in your above post).

They are pro-European parties who want Scotland and Wales to be regions in the EU.
Thus not Nationalists at all.
Plaid even openly regards itself as a Socialist party.

So EU members stop being nations?

not according to them. amongst other things they do claim to be nationalist. Obviously when they say anti-racist they don't include being anti-British :-)

Introduction to Sinn Féin

If you want to make a lasting and worthwhile contribution to building a better future for all, then Sinn Féin is the party for you.

What is Sinn Féin?

Sinn Féin is the fastest-growing political party in Ireland.

It is a republican and labour party, taking its inspiration from the politics of Wolfe Tone, James Connolly and the 1916 Easter Rising.

Sinn Féin, the only all-Ireland party, is committed to achieving a 32-County democratic socialist republic and the end of British rule in Ireland.

Sinn Féin is nationalist and internationalist. It is anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and anti-racist.
