did you watch their debate last night (actually it was very early this morning)?

Obama came across much more eruditely than McCain who, to me, seemed an old scholl politican without any charisma. That may not be wholly relevant but voters in the US vote more for the person than the party. To a certain extent that happens here in the UK but not as much as in the US, and I think that it is undeniable that Obama is more spunky than McCain.
