Joking!
I read the smaller one, I can't stand the larger one. If it presents any new information please tell me, because wading through a pretty slideshow that I'm not actually attending is incredibly dull.

What do you need it to do?

Why ever would you do that? Can't be bothered to do virtualisation or triple-boot something?

Needed to be able to view each MAC address by WAN bandwidth used per day, and to cap speeds to certain MAC addresses after they reach 10mb usage.

(Free wifi in a hotel)

I would do it because OS X just doesn't appeal to me. I absolutely hate "user friendly" interfaces. I like to be able to change absolutely everything; even if it means dipping into the source code now and again. I'm not trying to say which is best for a user, I'm telling you that it isn't best for me.

You know you can run Gnome, KDE, whatever you want, right? Heck, you can even boot straight into console mode if that's what floats your boat.

But yep - if you're anti-user friendliness, perhaps you'd be better on your existing hardware.

I know I can, but why on Earth would I pay for an OS to do it. and also stab a knife into one of my interests (developing) in the process?
