Hi, I live in the Highlands of Scotland. I voted for you at the Euros and may do at the general election. There is a question I've asked in the policy forum that I would like answered.

Besides the Euro question we need very strong policy on immigration and asylum - if not our way of life will be finished.
Last year I visited the Battle of Britain monument near Folkestone and this was an emotional experience for me when I thought of the selfless sacrifice of those young men. I was angered to see that the monument has to rely on charitable donations.
Down in Dover at the first roundabout as you enter the country from the docks there were many men of foreign birth enjoying themselves in the sun - they were oviously being put up in the hotels along that stretch of road - they looked very happy - they don't have to rely on charity. Contrast their treatment with that of the battle of britain heroes memory.
All the politic parties in this country make me sick - I hope you prove to be different, I really do.
Rant over :-)

Welcome to the forum Bodach.

My only answer to that is that yes, the party does have a strong stance on immigration. This is not because we have anything against foreigners or asylum seekers. We are simply worried about the effects on our society that can be caused by injecting so many new members so quickly. It is bad for "race relations".

I don't think that the party has an issue with supporting asylum seekers who are genuinely in trouble; in fact I imagine that we would want to increase their support to help them integrate INTO phpbb_society better. The issue isn't really financial, it is about ensuring that we don't end up with segregated communites all around the country. None of the other parties are even willing to discuss the damaging effects that this can and does have.

Yes Bodach.

I too visited the Battle of Britain site this June on our returning from a trip to the Normandy beaches. We were a group of ex-service persons and when we viewed the statue of the Airman seated looking out to sea forever waiting for his comrades to return their were quite a few handkerchiefs in use.

It was remarked by quite a few of us that the site is supported only by charitable donations and we all thought that is disgusting.

Perhaps we could approach the EU for a donation?

Bodach,

Please keep ranting.

My grand parents were in WW1

My parents took part in WW2, many of their age paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Today that freedom, so selflessly won, is being GIVEN AWAY.

To my shame, I have let our government virtually complete the process of giving away our freedom, our sovereignty and our democracy. This war today does not have an enemy with bombs and guns. The enemy is within, it is our own government.

Now I must fight to protect all that was saved for me by those selfless actions. My fight has one goal - to return a UKIP MP for my constituency at the GE. I hope you can find a similar goal. The fight is not just for me it is for my children and grandchildren, just as my parents fight was for me.

Read http://www.brugesgroup.com/eurorebut...ve?article=242

Then join UKIP and then keep ranting to everyone you know.

Welcome.

I just have to say again consider that this monument to the heroes of the Battle of Britain has to rely on charity while economic migrants posing as asylum seekers receive government cash. It is wrong so wrong - do you know how angry people in this country are Mr Blair? I doubt it - I think you have no idea, no idea at all.

Bodach,

Just consider, if we do not manage to release ourselves from the EU, such a monument could soon be considered as not PC. It will only take a few individuals to claim that the manument offends them and it will be gone - charitable donations or not.

We are not just fighting for control of the imigration issue - the greatest fight is to retain our democracy and freedom to choose for ourselves just how we wish to be governed.

Please read article 242 posted previously - the EU is stripping away ALL democracy - don't be fooled by the presence of our government or the MEPs, it is just a smoke screen - we have no say over what the EU decides for us UNLESS WE LEAVE.

PS Blair doesn't care a whistle about how you feel, and will continue not caring until you return a UKIP MP for your constituency.

Derek
