Introduce Yourself>A retired EU official
Tony Gardner 10:56 AM 20-10-2004
I served with the British Army for 16 years. I was recruited to the European Parliament staff on completion of my military service in 1978.
I remained a European Civil Servant until early retirement in 2002. Based on my observations over this period, I am now a total supporter of UKIP's aims. If you want a better understanding of the function of the EU Institutions - contact me.

Hi Tony Gardner!

Welcome. I think you`re just the person we need. with your experiences of the EU maybe you could provide me (us) with some `sound-bites` as I intend to mount campaign here in Hartlepool of `Letters to the Editor` of the local paper keeping our name in the public eye.

If you wish you can email me at : regkelly40@hotmail.com with any ideas you have.

Once again Welcome!

Hi Tony,

I have read the following paper, published by the Bruges Group at
http://www.brugesgroup.com/eurorebut...ve?article=242

Are you able to substantiate any of the points on the smoke screen democracy claimed to be the case by the two writers?

Regards
Derek

Hi' Derek,

I have just whizzed through the Brugge group document that you guided me towards.

Although I would not naturally be in the same camp as the leadership of this group, I must say that I cannot find a single aspect of this article that I do not recognise to be fact and to represent the realityof the relationships between the various EU Bodies! All smoke and mirrors indeed...

I have today resigned from UKIP.

Knowing what I know of the machinations within the EU I have come to recognise that the leadership of UKIP do not have what it takes to progress the cause of UK withdrawal.

The Knapmans and Farages of the party have used the last Euro elections purely as a vehicle to confirm their nice, cosy lifestyle swanning about in European cities. They have failed to take every opportunity to further the UKIP cause, either intentionally or by sheer incompetance. They have visibly 'gone native' as have many people sent to Brussels before them...

Good to see real dedication to the cause

Lets hope the British people don't give up so easily!

I'm afraid they will. Their last chance to have a party totally determined to drive for withdrawal has been dashed. The damage done is irreparable!

You will have to back that up with some evidence before I leap INTO phpbb_your world of doom. Maybe I do look on the bright side, but I can't see any unrepairable damage at all. Even if you think the leadership is bad, you still have a chance for change not long from now.

Rapidly growing membership, much higher profile, best results in any kind of election, truth on our side and Rusty Lee :-) How can we lose!

Come on, we have minor repairs to make to the party, don't let the other parties and their lapdog media trick you INTO phpbb_thinking otherwise!
