:-) Hello, my name is Christopher Woodward. I'm aged 22 and have been in UKIP for three years now.

I'm currently serving on my local Worthing West branch committee and act as the local press officer. I have had three letters published in the West Sussex gazette this year, all mentioning the UKIP name. I also help out with leafleting locally. I leafletted many roads during the run-up to the Euro elections when we won 12 seats.

Well that's a bit about me.

Good man, good to see that more of the younger generation care about democracy and our country too!

Well nothing as far as I know...

They seem to pop up every four years and then disappear again. They only ever try and "campaign" (if you can call it that) at the G.E. and then you never heard from then again...

and ukip call themselves a mainstream political party...

lol :-)

Be fair LibDemDaniel. All parties can be accused of suddenly popping up at election time. I will concede to you that the Lib Dems local organisation is impressive, they do seem to get more leaflets out than anyone, including the big two.

However UKIP is still a relatively new party, we are still trying to find our feet in a lot of ways. It heartens me to see that UKIP is making more and more of a difference in a growing number of areas.

In the EU parliament, UKIP seem to be the only party spotlighting corruption and trying to hold commisioners to account.

In the London assembly, UKIP are often pointing out areas where Ken Livingstone is robbing the town.

UKIP are putting up more and more of a fight at regional assemblies, and yes I do think they could have done better in the NE. Good job Neil Heron was there to make up for any shortfall!

We are growing and beginning to become a more professional party. As membership grows, the party will have more money and scope to be seen in areas of importance. I personaly am happy that the party focuses on issues rather than power, and I hope this stays the way.

How about you attack the party for it's beliefs, instead of it's capabilities to get it's message out. Afterall, every party has to start somewhere!
