Hey guys, my name is Jonny and I'm from Ireland. I thought I'd join this site because there seems to be a lot of like minded people on here! I don't actually have a political leaning but I do love Freedom and individual liberties (I'm a huge fan of Thoreau & Orwell).

I'm doing a lot of campaigning against the Lisbon Treaty on the streets of Ireland trying to wake people up! It's amazing the difference between the British & Irish opinion on the EU! Most people in Britain know what's going on whereas here in Ireland people love it because it is always been hailed by the political parties and about how much money we get from it for roads etc! I've done a bit of work with We Are Change Ireland also, and a load of other people groups about all sorts of things! I love being apart of the People!

So peace & love to all, together we can bring the New World Order down! :-)

I hope you have informed them that more money goes out to the EU in our taxes than what we get given back (the UK is the 2nd largest EU donor)

To be fair to the Irish people, they have had a more positive experience of being on the end of some serious bribes from the EU, while the British have had years of subsidising the rancid circus, for no benefit. Unless you count being told what to do as a benefit.

However, this isn't without cost. The EU expects your country to now shut up and be good little bitches. I don't think the Irish feel like being anyones *****, so I am hopeful that one day you will turn things around there.

Welcome to the forum, Gu3rr1lla. It's excellent to see that Ireland will not be simply rolling over to the EU. Perhaps your people can do ours a huge favour and say "No" to the Lisbon Treaty.
