Remember back in the 1950s and 1980s when British society got better off how voters turned their nose up at Labour, voted Conservative, and Labour couldn't win an election.

Look out for a DC leaflet that says Vote Labour and condemn yourself and your family for a lifetime of poverty, a low standard of living, hard graft, bad pay, and a miserable existence under Labour's live to work ethic.

New labour is bad but it isn't as bad as Thatcher.

The only thing i will never forgive Maggie for is shuting down our much needed services and jobs that made us independent as a country, Plus she gave the EU without knowing it what they wanted.

Plus all she did to the workingman and that monetarist sillyness that caused a recession and all sorts of economic chaos.

I guess I'm a socialist... which doesn't give me too many options come general election time

but UKIP? not my cup of tea really, your name gives the impression that your just 1 step down from the BNP

The fact of the matter is we are in Europe. Europe is great and doesn't mean to harm our country only to make it a better place with more rights, easier trade and to create strong ties between the countries that make up the worlds capital of history and culture

where else in the world has so many languages confined to such a small place and where else in the world can you find nations like these working so closely together for the benefit of a whole continent? simple answer.. NOWHERE

The EU is something to be proud of, instead of waving the union jack we should wave the flag of europe proudly. A lot of other socialists will agree with me and that is why their vote wont be switching to the UKIP

change your name, offer referendums on the big issues, including the Euro currency, schengen (typo?) and all other european treaties and you'll persuade us. but get away from the whole independance thing, it puts me right off.

haha nope but I do have an Austrian girlfriend. Although she has expressed anti-EU views in the past, for her country at least.

But Austria is a good demonstration of how a socialist country can do well inside of europe, it's a lot like how I would like to see Britain run... well nearly.

I have a lot of gripes with the big 2 parties over their current states, who would have imagined 30 years ago that new torries would be more socialist than new labour, its a mind blower!

well my political party will be in power next so everything is going to change! :-)

How many homeless people do you put up at your house and what percentage of your wage do you share out with the needy?
