You realise that Communism makes industry/the country uncompetitive, and that there's no incentive for innovation, research, technological advancement or to do a good job, since everyone gets the same regardless.
Why should someone be a doctor etc in a communist society, or strive to achieve if they're going to get the same 'perks' as a cleaner?
its a idealism, we both know labour or the torries will not lose power within our generations, they have mastered the art of propaganda and dominate all forms of media, they are master shepherds who know how to control their flock with lies. so no need to leave the country yet.
It would make us uncompetetive? Hardly, is china not competetive in the global market? as for research and advancement of current technologies there would be a good argument that this would only increase, many people with the brains to study the great arts of science would rather use their 'metal' to earn good money in other sectors, In england we have a severe lack of funding already for all the major sciences, google it and you'll see, it's common knowledge, in communism if someone shows a tallent for a particular field of science they will be encouraged to work in the industry not discouraged because of lack of funding
I already answered the question about why people will still become doctors,

Ahhh, so we see the truth. Our glorious communist nation expects all individuals to be identical, and have identical needs.

My old man sells hearing protectors (Peltor - best you can buy). You can't sleep in them, and they don't cope with traffic rumble.

But "each according to his need". I have needs, so you must supply the solution. It's no good saying "tough luck".
Oh, wait. It is. We're in a capitalist world. Tough luck, commie.

I'm one of those strange people who can't be hypnotised.

But how will I be able to go and visit our glorious comrades in Cuba? I have the need, so you must fulfil it. I didn't make the rules - Marx did. Now, instead of making lame excuses, supply me with the items I need.

you clearly suffer extreme paranoia, your inability to even eat in a vegetarian restraunt and your inability to fly coupled with your hyper confrontive ways mean your 'chatacter' will not be able to operate succesfully within the system, I'd probably send you to a psychiatrist who would probably send you to the ministry of love till you're better
:-)

I didn't say "vegetarian restaurant" - I said "restaurant". The veggies on here will concur that it's impossible to find a veggie restaurant in most places.
Paranoia? No. I'm physically ill at the smell of cooking meat or fish, so it's a medical condition. But then, we've already seen how communism treats people who're different due to medical conditions, haven't we?

I'm not being "hyper-confrontive" - I'm simply asking for the items I need.
And you're showing why communism doesn't work, because it expects everyone to have the same needs. Like good little sheep.

I'm sorry Chris but communism does not work. An ownership society with proper safety nets and a free market will allow the very best system to compile itself.
