Charles Kennedy – dumped in January as leader of that nasty bunch of europhiles commonly known as the Liberal ‘Democrats’ – has been ditched for a second time according to the Sun newspaper edition of 18.10.2006.

The Sun reported that Kennedy was axed as host of the Marketing Week Effectiveness Awards at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel after “he allegedly slurred his words on 17.10.2006 during a dress rehearsal (for the event).” A ‘source’ told the Sun “Charles Kennedy arrived at about 3 pm. His eyes were half-closed and he was slurring his speech. He clearly wasn’t in a fit state to do the dress rehearsal. He couldn’t read. He stumbled over the lines and it was painful to watch.” The Sun claimed the hosts had said that Kennedy was not fit to deliver a speech.

Kennedy’s spokesman told the Sun that there had been "problems with the speech". Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine was brought in from the BBC to host the event instead of Kennedy.

I agree - his aim (like that of his party) is to finish off this country as a self-governing nation. He is a europhile and must be seen off - as they all must be.
