Looks and sounds like Clegg has already burnt his parties bridges with the Lab and CON parties,he did say something as well about Cameron having no idea about something but I missed the last word or two, anyone hear what it was?

Mike,it was about Cameron wanting to have progressive politics.
Anyway, just came off the Torydiary and some poster (Redfellow)is pointing out that Cleggs Constituency has more than 45,000 students who are always automatically registered to vote from Sheffield. Also, students may be voting from home as well.
Could be tricky with such a close result, especially with Clegg being a former Lecturer there and perhaps knowing about that voting setup.

GE could bring Clegg in every time if this is true, his majority is over 8k I think.
(Forget the last line of my previous post, confusion reigns today it seems.)

Best ask Portillo about 'safe' seats.

My guess is that both Cameron and Clegg reckon it's going to be a hung parliament next time round, thanks in the main to the Abstentionists! Cameron is sort of getting it for a public face but Clegg is yet to smile at the question!

Clegg got a sound grilling from Paxman last night over Clegg's claim he wanted to 'listen to the people'. Paxman exposed that Clegg was only interested in listening if the people said what he wanted to hear - Paxman pressed on public opinion being against the Lisbon Treaty and Clegg said the people are wrong to be against this and he would take no notice!
