We all have differing views and opinions but in general there doesn't seem to be much in the way of " Top to Bottom splits" when I meet and speak to party members and activists.

The Lib Dems will no more form a government under the current electoral system that than UKIP, they will still be in a distant third after the next election.

The next government will be lead by Brown or Cameron I am not a member of UKIP but what I think they should do is target their seats carefully, there is still a good chance we might end up with a hung parliament and just a few UKIP MPS could then be in position to influence things for the good.

Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg has written to David Cameron demanding clarification of the Conservative Party’s stance on the EU treaty.

Commenting, Nick Clegg said:

"The argument over a referendum on the treaty is being used as a smokescreen to hide the real issue of whether we want to be part of the EU or not.

"The Government has become terrified of making the case for Europe, whilst the Tories are using the debate over a treaty as an excuse to retreat into old-school euroscepticism.

"David Cameron appears to have become confused over the differences that do exist between this treaty and the previous draft constitution. Until he explains what the Conservatives would propose to do if this treaty were rejected his position makes no logical sense.

"This treaty deserves a full debate, which is why it would be wrong to prevent it from reaching a second reading in Parliament.

"The time has come for us to have an open discussion about the future of Britain’s relationship with Europe. That means a referendum with one simple question: do we want to be in or out of the EU?

None of the europhiles (including the Liberal Dims) can or want to answer that valid point from you, Percentage.

There is, of course, only one reason why the Liberal Dims say they no longer want an EU Constitution (EU 'Amending' Treaty) referendum: and that is because they know they would not win it (i.e. the anti-EU Treaty side would be victorious).

The fact that the obsessively pro-EU Liberal Dims are so concerned at not winning a Treaty vote and that they are desperate to avoid one being held is clear evidence that they don't want to put the EU Treaty to be put at risk of being rejected in a referendum because it facilitates another major shifit of power from London to Brussels.
