The results of a new opinion poll by YouGov to be published in today's Sunday Times puts support for the partites at:

Conservatives 43 (+3)
Labour 33 (-2)
Liberal Dims 14 (-1)

The Cameron-Conservatives, although up by 3%, are down on opinin polls last month which put them 13% ahead of Labour.

The europhile Liberal Dims will be disappointed that there party has lost support in the new poll quoted above - they had been hoping that their new leader would have given their support an electoral boost pushing them to over 20% of the projected national vote share.

"....the poll shows the parties are roughly back to where they were in mid-December, when Cameron’s party enjoyed a 13% lead... it also confirms that the prime minister has yet to put his troubles of the final weeks of last year behind him. With the exception of the supermarkets, who people now think offer a good deal to shoppers, there is an overwhelming sense that households are being “ripped off” across the board. The Sunday Times YouGov poll also reveals that his decision to build new nuclear power stations is backed by 59% to 27% opposed. Two years ago a slight majority opposed new nuclear power stations.
