So neither myself nor anybody else have said that this is anything to do with you or that you are a former local election candidate. The blog now not available and allegedly in violation of terms of service included the exact words I quoted. That is the only place I know it has been said at least recently that there is a former local election candidate from UKIP who is going to be joining the Liberal Party in Southampton. (Precise quotes no longer being available from that blog).
I truly hope you are happy with and within UKIP Ryan. Despite the many transparent issues UKIP has UKIP is the best place to be in my opinion.

We are NOT the Liberal Democrats. We are fighting Queens Park Ward.
If you want to join the REAL Liberal Party then visit our web site. In 2011 we intend to put a candidate up in as many wards as possible and hold a referendum on the hated IMAX.
I must say for a free website that is very impressive!

Actually I think UKIP should be pretty happy about the existence of the Liberal Party and about the fact that some of us ex-Ukippers are joining it rather than dropping out of active politics altogether.
In many respects I still think UKIP is a good party. I think it will have an important role to play in Britain's future politics, and I will probably vote for it in the London elections on May 1st. I no longer feel able to actively campaign for the party because of recent changes in some of its policies on immigrations etc. But I'm happy that the Liberal Party co-operates with UKIP on some campaigns such as ID cards and the referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.
It is also a matter of interest. The Liberals are much more interested in getting things done at local council level, while UKIP are more focussed on Brussels. Both approaches have their place.

After the collapse of the Lib Dems in Southampton the Liberal Party if we play it right can make a difference in Southampton.

I see 'the' blog is now back up.
So getting back to where things left off I repeat my question with the added certainty that you are the person concerned.

I would also be very grateful if you could remind us of the time that you were "UKIP Southampton Chairman". Thanks.
I note that

which was a fine sentiment if we presume it was intended to refer to Liberal party candidates and not intended to be an attack on the thousands of independent candidates. It is just a shame that not one single person was willing to stand for the Liberal party in Southampton in 2008.

Was it my imagination, or does their website say something about them being keen on "World Government"? If that is true then the reason they oppose the EU is because it isn't big enough!
