Yes, they still exist and have quite a few councillors. They lost a couple in the local elections.
Welcome to the Liberal Party
We have at least three Liberal Party members on the forum, including two moderators. They are definitelyu euro-sceptic, and borderline anti-EU.

They are pro EU really, just not the current version.

This from their 1999 EU election manifesto:
The Liberal Party has a long history of support for European Unity. Unfortunately the European Union, we now see being constructed, is not the Liberal vision but a centralised and undemocratic super-state.
The corruption, fraud, and soaring personal and administrative expenses, together with the lack of adequate supervision of the commissioners (despite their forced resignation), are all symptomatic of an organisation deficient in democratically accountable structures
The weakness of the parliament allows our, and other governments', ministers to make decisions, hidden by or blamed on EU bureaucracy.
Making matters worse the Cons, Lab and Lib Dems, have all supported a new voting system which takes power away from the voters and puts it in the hands of the political parties.
We are alarmed at the prospect of a single European currency, which we believe to be undesirable and probably unworkable.
Unlike Cons, Lab and Lib Dems, the Liberal Party opposed the Maastricht Treaty and
believes that withdrawal from the EU is preferable to the present illiberal structure. If elected, Liberal Party MEPs will promote the policies in this Manifesto and make the case for a different kind of European unity - a Commonwealth of Europe.
And a press release after the Lib/Dem conference:
LIBERALS CHALLENGE LIBDEMS ON A REFERENDUM AT LEADERSHIP HUSTINGS
Liberal members have been supporting a challenge to the LibDems to honour their manifesto promise to support a Referendum on the Lisbon EU Treaty.
At the LibDems Leadership hustings held in Leeds, Liberal Party President Councillor Steve Radford helped to distribute leaflets outside the hall where members were gathering. Steve Radford reports that "a libDem official stormed out of the building to demand I go away as I had no right to be there. At the same time many ordinary LibDem members agreed with me. Others appeared to be utterly confused what their party stood for. I was able to give a leaflet to Chris Hulme but Nick Clegg point blank refused to take one!"
"I repeat the challenge to both LibDem contenders would they lead their MP's to vote against a referendum on the treaty, despite promising to support one in their last manifesto?
Liberals will also be joining with other pro Referendum campaigners at LibDem husting meetings in Cardiff and Plymouth.
A Commonwealth of Europe is probably closer to the majority wish. [GlobalVision found that 25% wanted to leave, but 50% wanted to stay in, but cut political and economic ties]

I see you are now a moderator, when did that happen? A dedicated opponent of UKIP is now a moderator of the main internet forum which discusses UKIP. I'm sure your anti-UKIP stance won't affect your moderating approach.

Good idea Anthony. Though is Tom Wilde definitely a member - he was never a member of UKIP if I understood things correctly.
You will I'm sure not mind if your last post about the party is repeated on this part of the forum:

I broadly agree with that though they will I'm sure suggest otherwise. I wouldn't expect anything less.

Yes, still a Liberal Party member and not anti UKIP - just its leadership.
The chap in the avatar is C G Jung and his forehead looks weird because he has his glasses lodged there - I think it is the best known image of him.
At our present time, I think a good understanding of CGJ's work would help more than any political party.

Not at all. I was quite surprised by just how many councillors the Liberals have, considering we never hear anything from them at a national level. Do they even have a party leader?
Their website is pretty awful as well.
Here is an example of their euroscepticism:

The EU Constitutional Treaty is effectively the same as the Constitution for Europe. If it were ratified without a referendum, the Government would be signing away Parliament's right to simply say No and leave the EU if we wish in the future. Membership of the EU should remain voluntary and by the consent of the British people. It is essential that we have the referendum which New Labour promised us in 2005, which the Conservatives are calling for but which slippery Gordon Brown is now denying us.
If New Labour divides on this issue, as it may well do, the biggest threat to the continued existence of our independent country would be the continued existence of the Liberal Democrats. They were and still are in favour of the Euro, the Constitution for Europe, the EU Constitutional Treaty and the unelected EU-inspired regional assemblies. Liberals who are concerned about the damage that Liberal Democrats holding the balance of power in Parliament would do to our country must leave the Lib Dems and rejoin The Liberal Party before our constitutional right to exist as a country is surrendered to Brussels.
Yours sincerely
Dane Clouston
Liberal Party National Executive
I am sure that there are a few people here who would agree with their assessment of the Lib Dems.

The liberal stance is indeed interesting now, Anthony, and this set of policies and stances make me ever more convinced that I am right about their eventual absorption of the existing liberal democrats into a new kind of liberal/libertarian movement highly likely. They look increasingly like the next left of centre opposition.

He's been a moderator for ages, well before joined the Liberal Party.
