Pop Quiz, hot shot.

1) Can you identify the founder of the BNP from this line up?

2) Which political party in 2005 released a manifesto which pledged that some form of National Service would be introduced, and that people who wanted to refuse National Service were free to do so as conscientious objectors, but only at the expense of ever being able to vote?

3) In 1997, which party leader admitted on The Cook Report regarding immigrants that he wanted to send them all home, and that Nazi German Gas chambers had been "exposed as a total lie"?

4) Which member of the BNP has admitted on national TV that he admires Hitler?

5) Which member of the BNP displayed a tatoo on national TV which he said was was the "Tree of Life" but which is in fact recognised by the Anti Defamation League as an extremist symbol used as a logo by the National Alliance, an American organisation with links to the BNP and which wants to create a "white living space".

6) Which leader of a political party said 'Mein Kampf' had some "good ideas"?

What are we supposed to infer from that? There are those who say the founder of your religion is a paedophile. That is not my line but it is commonly said of Muslims. What should we infer from that?
Incidentally, why do you think I am a nationalist?

What Mohammed did was not untypical of what was custom and practice in his land at the time.

What Hitler did was to make in his land at that time typical of what was custom and practice in his disgusting Nazi ideology.

See the difference?

It was my intent to show that from the very beginning of the BNP right up until the present day, the BNP and it's members have a documented history of fascist leanings, I'm not just highlighting the past, be thankful I've not given more up-to-date examples of convicted terrorists and a constitution that guarantees dictatorial power to The Chairman. And do you really want to plead innocent to the continued and sustained links between the BNP and extremist organisations in other countries? Some of which have been investigated by the Electoral Commission?

If the BNP had completely repudiated it's past I would be more inclined to be lenient in my judgement, but to my knowledge, this has not happened. The BNP is led by a man who until The Cook Report at least was not afraid of being a public holocaust denier, and is now a man who would remove from you the right to vote if you did not take part in national service, hardly democratic. I also forgot to mention that Griffin wrote "Who are the Mind Benders", an anti-Jewish booklet booklet claiming that Jews controlled the entire mass media.

I defer to the answer that The Bear has given regarding your question about Islam.

I do not know why you are a Nationalist, I don't see how that is germane to this conversation. I wasn't discussing Nationalism, I was discussing the BNP.

Indeed I know all about this. However the party is not the founder and it has changed alot in the last decade, Tyndall has even left.

Firstly none of this actually proves anything, secondly the party changed in the late 90s. It is like pretending Nulab is socialist. When talking about the BNP I tend to talk about I tend to focus on the current set up. It is a rightwing populist party, it has distasteful racial overtones but it isn't fascist and to simply dismiss it as fascist is to try and escape real debate.
