And do you really want to plead innocent to the continued and sustained links between the BNP and extremist organisations in other countries? Some of which have been investigated by the Electoral Commission?

If the BNP had completely repudiated it's past I would be more inclined to be lenient in my judgement, but to my knowledge, this has not happened. The BNP is led by a man who until The Cook Report at least was not afraid of being a public holocaust denier, and is now a man who would remove from you the right to vote if you did not take part in national service, hardly democratic. I also forgot to mention that Griffin wrote "Who are the Mind Benders", an anti-Jewish booklet booklet claiming that Jews controlled the entire mass media.

I defer to the answer that The Bear has given regarding your question about Islam.

I do not know why you are a Nationalist, I don't see how that is germane to this conversation. I wasn't discussing Nationalism, I was discussing the BNP.

The BNP has changed very much in recent years. It is rather silly to pretend it hasn't and helps no one, we anti-BNP types get no where by simply labelling it fascist and dismissing it, in fact that is quite fascistic behaviour.

Firstly none of this actually proves anything, secondly the party changed in the late 90s. It is like pretending Nulab is socialist. When talking about the BNP I tend to talk about I tend to focus on the current set up. It is a rightwing populist party, it has distasteful racial overtones but it isn't fascist and to simply dismiss it as fascist is to try and escape real debate.

John Tyndall died in 2005. Most of his supporters have left the BNP having accused it of "watering down policies" and "betraying principles", which translated means we have jettisoned the nutzi element and are building a modern democratic nationalist party. The irony is that the far left shout the same old tired slogans at the BNP when the modern version of the party bears no relation to the old one, which is why most members only joined after Griffin's reforms. Under Tyndall the party had about 1,500 members. It now has 10,000.
