Please don't anyone get offended, but is this a mainly right-wing, conservative site? Like I said in my intro, I am basically apolitical, so it doesn't matter politically to me, but I would like to know, cos I don't want to unknowingly offend people.

However, be a bit wary of assuming politics is just 2- dimensional (i.e. left vs right) - the posters here all have varied opinions.

And - don't worry about 'offending' anyone.

My personal experience when I first joined the forum was that I was insulted/offended very quickly so I, again quickly, learned to offend back. Such is the nature of political debate. -(& it's fun too when your skin has thickened).

Welcome to the forum, Leo. This site has a very, very wide array of views from very far right to far left. You'll find a wider set of opinions and values here than anywhere else on the net, I think. There's one thing everyone has in common: we're all pretty damned opinionated. :-)

From some of the posts I've read, notably those by the anonymous Bear, I would say definitely NOT.

It is slightly odd that a "basically apolitical" person would wish to engage in discussion on a clearly political forum. But maybe a fresh mind is a good idea?
