UKIP General Issues>mrabody responds to GLW's characterization of him.
T.N.Warry 05:47 PM 21-07-2008
The reason GLW rants against so many of the UKIP hierarchy is because they in the main do the Eurosceptic cause no good. He praises Nigel for his greatest strength, his media performances, but says as I and many others do that he is a useless Leader of the Party.

What UKIP sycophants fail to see, understand or comprehend is that UKIP in its current form is doing NOTHING to stop the UK being taken over by the EU. In fact UKIP in its current corrupted state is a positive deterrent to a new anti EU party being started up. Many of us have tried to clean up UKIP but the UKIP hierarchy have their noses so firmly in the EU trough that reform seems virtually impossible. We however battle on in the hope that some 'big event' will lift the scales from the average UKIP members eyes and force Nigel's current cabal to shape up or ship out!

The press have so much ammo on UKIP now that come the Euro Elections UKIP will struggle to hold onto all the MEPs they have. Given that around 70% of the population agree with our position UKIPs standing at around 2% is nothing short of a scandal.

For those that are not 'in the know' - Mr. Warry is Greg Watkins' long term friend (for some years now that I know of anyway), confidant, political compatriot, subordinate lackey and chief apologist. His output mirrors Watkins style so much I have not been certain which one actualy produced the words on a number of occasions, and suspected Watkins of just feeding him the copy for publication.

He appears to be completely blind to Watkins' errors, insanities and ranting nonsense.
Whenever Watkins is criticised here (and God knows he needs it as he gives it out enough to others! ) - up pops Mr Warry to apologise for him and tell us what a fine upstanding chap he is.

I don't buy it Niaal!

Yes in part you are right Douglouse I do agree with much of what GLW says but not always the way he says it. And as we well know, from this forum, there are many others who, through circumstanes, have had the scales lifted from their eyes and can see just how corrupted UKIP has become.

You on the otherhand. like the preverbial jack-in-a-box spring up to defend Nigel and his cabal at every turn. It is you that will end up with egg on your face when UKIP is laid bare.

Watkins really is an enigma. He has many fine qualities and I don't doubt for a second that he passionately cares about securing our withdrawal from the EU. Unfortunately his judgement is all too frequently clouded by his otherwise admirable zeal and like so many of those he accuses he ends up doing more harm than good.

You clearly miss the point. There are now many who want to expose UKIP which may well 'harm' it. However we believe, if this is the outcome, that this is better than fooling the British people that a vote for UKIP is a vote for a Party of probity.
Our ideal aim is to clean UKIP up but as each day passes this gets less and less likely.

I do not "miss the point" at all. I understand your (and Mr Watkins) position regarding UKIP but Watkins manages to simultaneously damage both UKIP and the sensible critics of the UKIP leadership.

Well I'd be delighted if you haven't missed the point - in which case please explain how his rants damage sensible critics of UKIP??
In my opinion anyone trying to clean up UKIP and make it more electable is assisted by the rants against the corruption in UKIP.

Frankly that would seem obvious to anyone with a brain. Watkins inability to communicate his views on UKIP in a reasonable and civilised manor renders any points he makes easy to dismiss and damages anyone associated with him.

You missed out 'in your opinion!'

In my opinion the truth is always the truth and his ranting along with others have kept these issues alive. The LibLabCon need a few more ranters IMO then they wouldn't be in such a mess. It is difficult to clean up corruption quietly. You need time and determination NOT to be deflected by the 'everything is alright brigade'. The Sycophants around Nigel are the real people doing damage to our cause.

How silly of me. I always assumed that anything I said was obviously my own opinion. In future I will try and make it more clear for the benefit of the those to dense to realise the obvious.

I actually agree that the sycophants damage the cause but so do those whose criticism is made in such a poor manor. How, for example, calling Annabelle Fuller a slut aids any rational cause I do not know.
