You are certainly entitled to your opinion of me. However it remains just that, an opinion, and one that remains unsubstantiated by knowledge of your subject. Despite having practiced law for several years now I have never been exposed to such a barrage of vituperation - in fact it gives me a certain frisson of excitement to think that I could be such a depraved, horrid individual. The fact remains though that you do not appear to be well informed about your subject matter in this case.

I do admit that I am currently on the list of prospective MEP candidates for the southeast of England. I am also the UKIP Prospective Parliamentary Candidate in Lewes, East Sussex. I stood for UKIP in the local elections in 2007 and 2008 in the ward of Chertsey-St. Ann's in Runnymede. You are certainly entitled to read into these facts what you wish. I have never sought paid employment with UKIP however, and have no intention of doing so in the future. I hope this will ease your mind somewhat.

I am sorry if you have taken issue with some things I have said. You appear to think that I am something of a syncophant. I am not. I like to form my own opinions, which tend to be informed by a contrarian streak that runs deep within me, and as well as the healthy scepticism (some might say cynicism) that goes with several years practice of criminal defence law. As you have not had the opportunity to speak with me privately, and as online fora tend to limit our understanding of the real person behind the post, I can understand if you misinterpreted the motivation behind what I post. I would like to assure you that I harbour no hard feelings in that regard. I have in the past been guilty of the same mistake - confusing the person with the argument.

I must take issue with your suggestion that I am ashamed of what I type on the forum because I use a "handle" rather than my real name. However, I have been quite open about my identity for some time now and it is known to many forum members, including Aardvark, Geoffrey Collier, Harry Aldridge amongst others. In fact I would have changed my "handle" to reflect my real name some time ago but unfortunately this is not supported by the forum software. I am somewhat perturbed that you do not know who I am given your formidable reputation for ferreting out information and that you would fail to realize that my identity is known to many if not most frequent British Democracy Forum users. I trust that this is not due to laziness or lack of ability, but rather to the fact that you were trying to make a point (that I am ashamed of what I post).

I cannot possibly comment on Ms. Fuller's status as a "slut", as I do not have any information concerning her personal life.

Lastly I would be much obliged if you would correct the mistaken capitalization of my on screen "handle". It is in fact "mrabody", not "MrAbody". I would also be much obliged if in the future when raining insults down upon me that you use something catchy. Something along the lines of "evil reptilian kitten eater from another planet" perhaps.

I hope this email has cleared up the apparent misunderstanding that prompted your criticism of me. I look forward to many more years of your erudite commentary.

I'm very aware of GLW's reputation and his modus operandi. I decided that I'd go public, respond, do so politely. I think people let him get under their skin, reply in anger and then get into the type of mud-flinging match which he is so good at and so clearly enjoys. I have no intention of fighting him on the ground of his choosing.

I think poking fun at GLW publicly is the best way to respond to him. He gives every indication of having an overlarge ego, and probably cannot bear to be laughed at. If I'm going to be publicly slagged off by him I intend to enjoy it, and make sure that everyone else enjoys it as well.
