Bob Spink boosts campaigning against Post Office closure

Dr Bob Spink MP further boosts his current 'Save Our Post Offices' campaign, sending thousands of window posters to local residents who have signed petitions presented by Bob in the House of Commons or sent Bob cards calling for support for our Post Office.

Bob has had several meetings locally and with the senior Post Office Management to discuss ways to stop the further closures. Bob says, "I have received around two thousand cards from local residents and presented many petitions over the years in the House of Commons.

"I now hope these people will display my campaign poster in their windows to show support for our community and particularly vulnerable people who often depend heavily on their local office

I have to say given that the Post Office closure campaign commenced it's life in the South West, and whilst I fully support the retention of rural and village facilities like small shop/post offices, it seem to me we are actually sending a mixed message over this. We as a party know we cannot alter this because of the various EU directives making this an absolute certainty, not an option. Unless we leave the EU

The leaflet we send out is explicit in it's blame, IE the EU.

I agree, Bob (FM). UKIP centrally needs to work at getting everyone to sing from the same hymn sheet - there are numerous branch websites wher you can find differing facts by going elsewhere in UKIP - there needs to be better coordination of common facts...

Spon you are right which is why I believe there should be more meetings of Chairman and policy makers in order that we indeed at a National and local level speak the same language. I try to impress upon my group that we must not go off on rants when getting our message across, when people from within are waiting for us to trip up, that is magnified outside.

Yes, this would be a very positive step forward. I hope you can help bring this about.

C, I will approach this in the right way by contacting my region. If enough Chairman did the same then we could put pressure on for this to happen. i think it is crazy to have one meeting a year, which rarely can all get too. But I would add this would be Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretaries only, as I feel, from what I've heard there are too many who want to divert attention away from 'business'.
