Errr - where have I made any comment that defends homosexuals ?

And whether I do or not is beside the point - I'm just interested to understand his opinion in the context of science and the family.

Actually I would prefer to treat everyone as an individual when it comes to parenting and I'm sure there are a number of homosexual couples or single people that would make better parents than a lot of parents we see today.

There's no reason that anybody can't be a good parent as long as he/she acts responsibly - being a parent has very little to do about "sex", however much the homophobes can't stop being obsessed with it.

Obviously mother and father is the ideal situation but it's importance may not be critical to ensure the kid grows up the right way.

And please don't make me out to be one of politically correct brigade ..... :-)

I'm not political points scoring or a gay rights campaigner, I'm discussing an important issue of parenting which I'm interested in, ok ?

I forgot you seem to dislike everybody - as indicated by your comment on the green thread where you say a world with no people would be a good thing :-)

Since when has wearing clothes or using computers NOT been beneficial to the overall progress of humanity, from simpleton ape-like creatures to ones capable coherent and rational thought? I thought the basic purpose of life was reproduction and survival, and homosexuality offers NOTHING beneficial in that respect.

Can you imagine the first human settlers on a new and distant world at some time in the future debating the physical make-up of a new colony. You seriously think that the subject of "shall we have some homos, just to add a bit of 'equality' to the occassion" would be of any consideration for the future development of a new human centre of population? No, but clothes, computers and medicine WOULD deffinately be on their hit list of: "essential things to have to avoid death".

It has nothing to do with "professional opinion" so do not try that cr*p on me. It has everything to do with what I think is acceptable behaviour between one human and another, and one man poking another man's sh*thole is not what I would call something a mentally sane person would do.
