What is Britishness?
How do you personally define it?
Would you consider yourself firstly as a British, then Scottish, Welsh or English? Or simply the other way round?

Have a look at this website::-)

Britishness is not what it was. It can never return to what it was. it is now New Britishness (thanks largely to New Labour)

Get used to it, and deal with what it now is. That’s all any of us can do.

I consider myself Cornish and Scottish. I don't really consider myself British.

Exactly. I consider myself English.

BTW - off to Gwithian Sands for a self catering break in a couple of weeks. It's a bit of a schlep from Norwich, but well worth the drive.

Crab sandwiches in Marazion, Pasties from the pasty shop on Market Jew St. Penzance, a really good Chinese in Newlyn, BRING IT ON!

Hope you've offset your carbon footprint and please be aware of the traffic :-)

and what's wrong with Cley, Wells, Cromer, Sheringham, Hunstanton etc.,

I'm British I only started signing English when the PC brigade started the Scottish/Welsh/Irish or British scenario.

I don't see what the Scottish, Cornish, Welsh et al daring to talk about our differences has to do with PCdom. It seems anti-PC, we aren't universalists and multicultralists.

Once upon a time when British people stated their nationality we were all unequivocally British and then some organisation or person decided that people could declare their Scottishness or their Welshness or their Irishness but not their Englishness
What it has to do with PC-dom is that the only person who cannot complain about being victimised is the white working class English male

It is an 11 letter word easily spoken, less easily explained and openly sh*gged by the ivory tower elite.
